What Our Clients Have to Say

Estoria Wedding Films

“I really enjoyed being able to speak with the student team and answer questions regarding the business. It was great to hear their thoughts and perspectives.”

Mama Crockett’s

Location: Lynchburg, VA

Product/Service Category: Cider Donut Bakery & Foodtruck(s)

“It was a fun and unique experience that I believe could benefit many other small businesses and students going forward. It’s always helpful for businesses to get an outside opinion on new marketing tactics because sometimes it’s hard to identify new opportunities from the inside!”

SABER

Location: Shamokin, PA

Product/Service Category: Community Business Organization

“SABER was happy to partner with the students of Susquehanna University. To have the participation of students in these projects is so beneficial for the business partners as well as the students. Having these resources assisting with survey definitions and confirmation and assessment of central business district inventory provided both parties so much value. Thank you SU Business School and students for this opportunity!”

Michela Watson Photography

Location: Nashville, TN

Product/Service Category: Luxury Wedding Photography

“In this season of my business, I’ve been focused on up-leveling my offerings and reaching a new clientele. Prior to working with the marketing students from Susquehanna University, I was lacking direction on how to market myself to reach this new demographic of clients. I am so thankful for the students’ hard work and comprehensive marketing plan as I step into this new phase of my business. They were very well-researched, inquisitive, creative, and professional. I was consistently astounded by the ideas they presented and feel confident moving forward. Thank you so much!”

KNOEBELS AMUSEMENT RESORT

Featured Projects

Marketing Plan Project

Since Spring 2021, the Marketing 280 Classes led by Professors Lauren Smith and Kristie Anderson worked with 23 clients across 8 states on a semester long project. Students were organized into groups based on interest and experience and worked 1-on-1 with real-life business owners to envision and present a personalized marketing plan. The consultancy experience provided an environment for students to develop problem solving skills, deepen creative thinking capacity, and practice professional communication and presentation situations.

Marketing Research Project

Professor Hualu Zheng and student teams from the Marketing Research class worked with two clients, Wicked Dog Grille and Deo’s Kitchen, regarding strategic recommendations for their marketing operations. Teams working with Wicked Dog Grille focused on customer relation management strategies to effectively engage student customers. Teams working with Deo’s Kitchen focused on the process of relocating the restaurant, upgrading customer interaction strategies, and reinventing social media marketing practices. Their recommendations were derived through conducting focus groups studies and questionnaires to research the effectiveness of the specific strategies they proposed in the focus group studies.
